What We
Believe
We believe in a triune, eternal, infinite, and
sovereign God, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit,
as He has revealed Himself in the Holy Christian Bible. These Three
comprise the Godhead of all authority and power for all time.
We
believe that God created the universe, and that He created the earth
and the heavens in 6 days. He created Man in a special creation, and
that He rested on the 7th day.
We believe that Man sinned in
the Garden of Eden and fell away from direct relationship with God,
who then promised a Savior.
We believe in the deity of the
Lord Jesus Christ. He is God incarnate.
We believe that Jesus
Christ is God's only begotten Son, born of a virgin, lived a perfect,
sinless life, died a substitutionary death on the cross, was buried
for 3 days and rose again in bodily form in fulfillment of the
Scriptures.
We believe that Christ walked the earth for 40
days after His resurrection and ascended to heaven, promising that He
would return bodily.
We believe Jesus Christ will return
bodily to fulfill the Scriptures.
We believe the Holy Spirit
is a Person, not a force, that He indwells believers, guides
them, illuminates Scripture to them, glorifies Christ through them,
strengthens them, allows them to utilize their spiritual gifts,
convicts them of sin, enables them to lead a godly life, and teaches
them to minister to others.
We believe that the Holy
Christian Bible, in the original autographs, is the inspired,
inerrant, infallible and complete Word of God. We believe that the
canon of Scripture has been closed.
We believe that sinners
can be saved by grace through faith ALONE. (Ephesians 2:8)
We
believe in baptism as an ordinance of the church, commanded by
Christ, for new believers and as a covenant sign. (We do not
subscribe to a specific form of baptism, nor will we determine an age
limit. This is a personal decision for the believer or the parents of
the child. Scripture does not address this issue specifically.)
We
believe in communion, or The Lord's Supper, as an ordinance of the
church, commanded by Christ, in remembrance of Him.
We
believe in the power of prayer and the fellowship of believers.
